About the role
At Gant Footwear, we combine the heritage of an iconic brand with the agility and momentum of a start-up. As Accountant AP/AR, you will be part of building the financial backbone of our newly established footwear business unit. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys operational finance, accuracy, and structure – and who wants to be close to the business. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial processes while gaining broad exposure to a growing, premium footwear organization. Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams, you will help create strong foundations that support both efficiency today and scalability for tomorrow.
OVERALL KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process and reconcile customer invoices and incoming payments.
- Support first-line collections (reminders, statements) and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with accounting for customer compensations and related adjustments.
- Respond to inquiries from customers, partners, or internal stakeholders.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices, expense reports, and outgoing payments accurately and on time.
- Support multi-currency operations and basic bank transactions.
- Respond to vendor inquiries under guidance from senior finance staff.
General / Cross-functional
- Maintain balance sheet accounts and perform routine reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Support small process improvement initiatives and learning projects.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product & Operations, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth transactional flows.

- University or professional degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in AP/AR or operational accounting.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and transactional processes.
- Confident Excel user; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a merit.
- Detail-oriented, structured, proactive, and a team player.
- Curious and motivated to learn and grow within finance.
