Aufgabe
As an integral part of the Sourcing Team, you will contribute to shaping the global strategy and supplier base for a core product category. The team is composed of dedicated individuals, each with specific roles and responsibilities, reporting to the Sourcing Manager. Together, we work towards the vision of ensuring a robust and efficient supply chain to meet our business goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive GANT's sourcing intiatives: Sustainability, Quality, Speed and Transparency
- Develop and implement bi-annual sourcing strategy with the Sourcing Manager
- Monitor margins and negotiate costs to meet company goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and optimal pricing
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, including cost negotiation, factory audits, quality checks, and contract signing
- Oversee supplier performance, ensuring compliance with GANT standards and improving scores through supplier engagement
Profil
- 5+ years of experience in apparel, preferably in buying offices or multinational companies
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of manufacturing, garment technology, and business strategy
- Expertise in global technical processes and implementing change
- Data collection and analysis skills for optimizing quality, cost, and lead times
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint is a MUST
- Knowledge of PLM is a plus
- Excellent negotiation and organisational abilities
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
