Are you detail-oriented and analytical with a strong interest in retail and data-driven work? We are now looking for an AR Accountant to take ownership of securing accurate sales and payment transactions in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
As our new AR Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of sales and card payment transactions across GANT’s e-commerce, stores, and outlets within the Central Region. Your work will focus on reconciling sales, payment, and inventory data between our accounting system (SAP) and retail systems (Cegid Retail Y2 and Salesforce).
This role plays a vital part in securing accurate financial reporting and supporting internal and external audit requirements. You will also account for inventory balances, bonus cheques issued via our Membership Club, and customer compensations. You will collaborate closely with teams across Finance, Customer Service, IT, and Retail Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation of e-commerce and retail sales and card payment transactions
Investigate and resolve incorrect or incomplete data in collaboration with relevant departments
Reconcile store and outlet inventories, gift cards, and bonus cheques on a monthly basis
Account for customer compensations related to delayed deliveries
Take ownership of relevant balance sheet accounts and associated reconciliations
Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements and implement improvements as needed
Support ad-hoc finance and reporting tasks in a dynamic and cross-functional environment
Perfil
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–4 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance, preferably within retail
Strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP and retail/e-commerce systems is a plus
Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
Detail-oriented, structured, and able to meet tight deadlines
Proactive team player with an interest in data, automation, and process improvement
