At Gant Footwear, we combine the heritage of an iconic brand with the agility of a start-up. We’re now looking for a Business Controller to play a key role in driving financial performance and supporting our continued growth.
In this analytical and business-oriented role, you will provide financial insights and guidance to help shape strategic and operational decisions across the organization. You will collect, compile, and analyze data to deliver accurate reporting, margin analysis, cost control, and business projections.
Working closely with the Finance Director and leadership team, you will monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure that financial targets are met. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Product, Operations, Commercial, and Logistics to enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Maintain and execute reporting packages.
Prepare sales, margin, and cost analyses by product, category, and market.
Monitor working capital development and support optimization initiatives.
Assist in month-end closing, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
Prepare and present financial performance reports to Footwear management.
Forecasting & Budgeting
Lead forecast and budget processes, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
Assist in business planning and scenario analysis.
Decision Support & Business Insight
Collaborate with management to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Identify risks and opportunities through business and commercial analysis.
Support implementation of KPIs and financial dashboards to enable data-driven decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product & Operations, Sourcing, Logistics, and other functions to ensure financial alignment and accurate reporting.
Educate and guide stakeholders in understanding cost structures, financial impact, and business implications.
Profiel
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
3+ years’ experience in finance, controlling, or business analysis
Knowledge of accounting, finance processes, and business control
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel; SAP or other ERP experience meriting
Curious, structured, proactive, and able to communicate insights clearly
