Are you detail-oriented and analytical with a strong interest in retail and data-driven work? We are now looking for an AR Accountant to take ownership of securing accurate sales and payment transactions in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
As our new AR Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of sales and card payment transactions across Gant’s e-commerce, stores, and outlets. Your work will focus on reconciling sales between our accounting system (SAP) and retail systems (Cegid Retail Y2 and Salesforce) and payment transactions through Adyen. You will also be responsible for manage monthly inventory reconciliation for stores.
This role plays a vital part in securing accurate financial reporting and supporting internal and external audit requirements. You will collaborate closely with teams across Finance, Customer Service, IT and E-commerce teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation of e-commerce, retail, inventory and card payment transactions
Investigate and resolve incorrect or incomplete data in collaboration with relevant departments
Handle reconciliations and accounting of gift cards, bonus checks, deposits and customer compensation.
Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation related to the Ecom flow
Take ownership of relevant balance sheet accounts and associated reconciliations
Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Profiel
University degree in Finance
2–4 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance, preferably within retail
Strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP and retail/e-commerce systems is a plus
Fluent in English
Detail-oriented, structured, and able to meet tight deadlines
Proactive team player with an interest in data and process improvement
Experience with AI and automation in finance to improve efficiency and control
