As part of the GANT Footwear Finance Team, you will lead and develop the accounting function for the newly established GANT Footwear entity. This role includes direct leadership of a small team and close collaboration with finance colleagues across GANT. You’ll be responsible for statutory compliance, reporting accuracy, and driving accounting excellence as we scale our operations. You will report to the Finance Director of GANT Footwear.

Overall key tasks & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting function for GANT Footwear, including general ledger, AR/AP, tax, and VAT
• Own and drive the monthly closing process and preparation of reporting packages
• Prepare and ensure high-quality annual reports, income declarations, and statutory filings
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with group accounting standards
• Perform cash flow analysis and reporting to support liquidity planning and ensure alignment with group financial requirements 
• Be first point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders regarding accounting topics 
• Lead and support a small, high-performing accounting team – coach, develop and plan daily work 
• Participate in the implementation and testing of the new ERP system  
• Collaborate closely with Finance Director and Business Control to support accurate forecasting and analysis 
• Support finance-related projects and continuous process improvements 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within retail, consumer goods, or audit 
• Strong understanding of Swedish accounting principles (K3) and VAT reporting 
• Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken) 
• Experience with SAP and Tagetik is meriting 
• Comfortable navigating deadlines and working with multiple stakeholders 
• A hands-on, highly structured finance professional with excellent attention to detail 
• Curious, flexible, and eager to grow with the business 
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same
