At GANT Footwear, we combine the heritage of an iconic brand with the agility of a start-up. We’re now looking for an Interim IT Solutions Director (parental leave cover) to provide continuity and leadership in one of our most business-critical areas.
Acting as the key link between global IT and the Footwear business unit, you will lead the implementation and management of our IT landscape with a strong focus on the ERP system (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud), supplier and customer portals, and other critical solutions. Your role will be to oversee the full IT project lifecycle, ensure seamless collaboration with stakeholders and vendors, and make sure our systems fully support both business growth and operational excellence during this important period.
In this role, you will work closely with teams across product development, design, finance, operations, and sales to ensure that IT solutions align with business objectives. You will also collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to streamline supplier management, and coordinate with external vendors and the global IT team to integrate best practices and ensure seamless system functionality throughout the footwear division.
This is a one year parental cover starting in January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & IT Solutions: Lead the vision, development, and deployment of footwear-specific IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business growth and operational efficiency. Oversee ERP (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud) and other key systems like supplier/customer portals like Colect. Ensure the backlog is up to date, and there is an ALM plan in place.
- Project Management & Leadership: Manage IT projects from initiation to post-deployment, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. Lead ERP implementation, collaborating with vendors, internal teams, and consultants.
- Development & Execution: Oversee the technical development of IT systems, ensuring alignment with business goals. Promote agile methodologies and ensure smooth execution of IT projects.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as the main liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and vendors. Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance & Training: Lead quality assurance efforts, ensuring systems meet performance expectations. Coordinate user training to ensure successful adoption of IT solutions.
Profil
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Product Owner) are a plus.

7+ years’ experience in IT project management, solutions development, or leadership within retail, fashion, or footwear.

Proven track record of leading and implementing ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA).

Strong expertise in SAP and IT architecture, with deep knowledge of system integration and agile methodologies.

Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors in fast-paced environments.

Excellent leadership, change management, and communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
